Food & Hotel Vietnam Show, Vietnam

The Food & Hotel Vietnam Show took place at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City, from 21 – 23 April 2015. The show attracted nearly 11,000 visitors, up from 9,600 visitors in 2013. The show featured a total of 470 exhibitors, of which 77 percent were international brands and visitors. Besides the USA Pavilion, there were nine other country pavilions. USAPEEC managed a 36 square-meter booth in the USA Pavilion, which was shared with seven other U.S exporters. During the three-day show, U.S. exporters in the USAPEEC booth received a significant number of regular and new trade contacts, some of whom were very interested in establishing contact with U.S. exporters.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the opening of the USA Pavilion. Phil Karsting, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Administrator, was the guest-of-honor. During his walk-through of the USA Pavilion, Mr Karsting stopped at the USAPEEC booth and conversed with U.S. poultry exporters.
The USDA office in Vietnam organized a trade reception for 280 guests on the first evening of the Food & Hotel Vietnam Show. The reception was attended by Mr. Karsting, several senior U.S. Embassy officials, Vietnamese officials and regular trade contacts. U.S. poultry items were featured in the main dishes prepared for the reception.
