The Food and Hotel Vietnam Show has received increased interest among international exhibitors and overseas trade visitors over the years. The support was evident by the record breaking number of participants.
A total of 520 exhibitors from 32 countries participated in the Food and Hotel Vietnam 2017 Show. The international exporters observed that Vietnam is a fast growing market for consumer-oriented food products. The rise in the number of tourists, rapid growth of the middle class consumers, influx of Western-style restaurants and fast food chains contributed to the rising demand for imported high quality products.
The preliminary records indicated that over 11,000 trade visitors attended the Food and Hotel Vietnam 2017 Show from April 25-27, 2017. At the show, USAPEEC managed a U.S. Poultry Pavilion, where eight leading U.S. exporters were co-located. The daily poultry taste testing dishes, prepared by professional chefs, were met with overwhelming response. The representatives of the seven exporter companies were occupied with inquiries from Vietnamese trade visitors who thronged the USAPEEC Pavilion daily.
The products displayed during the show were located at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. The display showcased chilled and frozen foods, confectionery dairy products, non-alcoholic beverages, fresh produce, processed food and convenience foods , seafood, wine, spirits and beer. The Hospitality Equipment and Supplies included bakery and confectionery equipment and supplies, bar and coffee equipment, food service and catering equipment, tableware and accessories, and housekeeping supplies and services.
The highlights of the show were the Vietnam Culinary Challenge, Vietnam Barista Competition, and Vietnam Latte Art. USAPEEC sponsored the poultry cooking competition section in the Vietnam Culinary Challenge.
