Once again, the USAPEEC Pavilion was one of the more prominent highlights in the WOFEX Show which took place in Manila from August 1 to 4.
The USAPEEC Pavilion attracted hundreds of trade visitors with its sampling of highly appealing poultry dishes daily including lime chicken, lemon grass chicken, roast turkey and chicken teriyaki. Four of the most established local distributors of U.S. poultry, which were co-located within the USAPEEC Pavilion, provided the key import procurement sources for smaller local wholesalers and retailers from the outlying provinces of the Philippines. Exhibitors in the USAPEEC Pavilion displayed a wide range of poultry products including chicken legs, chicken thighs, chicken breasts, whole turkey and turkey breasts, whole ducks, duck legs and duck breasts, chicken feet and gizzards.
The WOFEX show, which is the largest international food show in the Philippines, serves as a one-stop venue for international and local exhibitors to meet with a wide spectrum of the food trade including restaurateurs, chefs, importers, distributors, food processors, supermarket owners and convenience stores. USAPEEC sponsored the U.S. Poultry Cooking Segment in the Philippine Culinary Cup which took place concurrently with the WOFEX Show.
