USAPEEC Singapore successfully organized the twin U.S. Poultry and Food Safety Workshops in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from May 21 to 22, 2019. Targeted at a range of food service personnel including junior chefs, restaurateurs, and educators from culinary schools, these workshops seek to educate and raise the awareness of food safety and food handling. They also serve to provide insights into the preparation and cooking of U.S. poultry dishes.

Upon completion, participants shared that they gained an understanding of U.S. poultry nutrition, food safety, and the use of poultry in various cuisines. Participants also indicated that they were more likely to use U.S. poultry in their restaurants. At the end of the seminars, Ms. Megan Francic, the U.S. Agricultural Attaché, together with Ms. Margaret Say, USAPEEC ASEAN Regional Director presented certificates of attendance to each participant.
