USAPEEC ASEAN

From September 2 to 4, USAPEEC ASEAN embarked on a trade servicing mission to Thailand in order to assess the current potential for U.S. poultry and egg exports to the Kingdom.

The mission began with a meeting attended by representatives from Siam Food Services, one of Thailand’s largest F&B importers, at their 40th anniversary celebration in Phuket, to discuss the possibility of importing cooked U.S. turkeys from suppliers they do not currently utilize as well as other U.S. poultry and egg products.

It continued in Bangkok, where USAPEEC ASEAN met with other Thai importers, as well as the Thai USDA Office in Bangkok to discuss market access status, trade and regulatory barriers, local demand, and opportunities for market penetration.
The mission provided valuable insights into the Thai poultry and egg market, and helped generate additional leads for market penetration.
