top: Culinary students in a hands-on practical session during the workshop at the Saigon Tourist Hospitality College
Students in Saigon Tourist Hospitality College, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, were taught the essential fundamentals of poultry nutrition, food safety, and handling by local celebrity chef, Norbert Ehrbar. This U.S. Poultry and Nutrition Workshop took place over five sessions.
In the theory class carried out on October 26, Chef Norbert covered subjects such as Health and Nutrition, Safe Handling and Preparation, and Menu Development Ideas. The practical classes of the workshop were held on November 16 and November 23 for long-term students and on November 24 and December 16 for short-term students. The culinary students expressed that they were more knowledgeable about U.S. poultry, hygiene practices, and poultry preparation in western and local dishes after completing the theory and practical sessions of the poultry workshop.
