The U.S. Embassy launched an evening of American Culinary Experience for key Sri Lanka food trade represenatives. Over 250 guests were treated to a variety of local and Western dishes featuring U.S. poultry and other U.S. foods at the evening reception on November 15 held at the Hilton Colombo . U.S. Ambassador Alaina Teplitz provided welcome remarks to the audience. USAPEEC supported the event by getting leading Sri Lankan importers to supply turkey and duck for the invited guests. During the event, Margaret Say, USAPEEC ASEAN Director mingled with the trade and potential buyers and provided detailed information about the U.S. poultry industry.
