Sizzle Showdown, the national culinary championship in Singapore that brings its winning U.S. poultry dish to restaurants nationwide for consumers to try, held its first media tasting on September 18.
Jack’s Place, a Western restaurant with 12 outlets nationwide, hosted the event for 18 key opinion leaders and their guests, a mix of food bloggers, cooking enthusiasts, and other content creators.
The event kicked off with a presentation by the USAPEEC ASEAN team on the context of Sizzle Showdown, USAPEEC, and U.S. poultry and egg products, and a sharing by the 18-year-old student winner on his background and inspiration behind his winning U.S. poultry dish, featuring a U.S. chicken roulade and seared U.S. duck breast.
Once the dish was served, as part of a three-course meal, attendees and their phones ate. They will promote the event in a few days’ time on their social media platforms as Jack’s Place gears up to launch the winning U.S. poultry dish across their 12 outlets on October 1.
Other restaurant partners of Sizzle Showdown will launch their inspired versions of the winning U.S. poultry dish in the upcoming months
