USAPEEC ASEAN

On February 27, 2025, USAPEEC, with support from the Illinois Soybean Association (ILSA), conducted a Food Safety and Cold Chain Seminar at Brittany Hotel, BGC, Taguig City, attended by 39 participants from Robinsons Retail Group (Robinsons, The Market Place, and Shopwise). The seminar, led by Certified ServSafe Instructor Rommel Gerodias, focused on food safety protocols, temperature control, and best practices in cold chain management. Through interactive case studies and real-world applications, participants gained valuable insights into preventing foodborne risks, ensuring product quality, and improving shelf life. The session was well-received, with attendees committing to applying these best practices in their daily operations.

Additionally, USAPEEC introduced its programs to support Robinsons Retail Group in promoting U.S. poultry products, which generated strong interest. Robinsons proposed two upcoming promotional programs where they seek USAPEEC’s support, opening new opportunities for collaboration to expand consumer awareness and increase sales of U.S. poultry. To sustain food safety excellence, it is recommended that this training be conducted annually, ensuring new hires and existing employees stay updated on industry best practices. Ongoing collaboration between USAPEEC and Robinsons can further enhance food safety standards and strengthen U.S. poultry’s market presence in the Philippines.
