With support from the Illinois Soybean Association, USAPEEC participated in the Flames and Flavors event at The Marketplace, Magnolia branch on April 26-27, 2025. The two-day activation featured live cooking demonstration and sampling led by Chef Sonny Mariano, spotlighting U.S. chicken in two standout recipes: U.S. Chicken Sliders, and U.S. Chicken Gyoza. Shoppers enjoyed 80-100 servings per day, while a nearby freezer made it easy for interested customers to purchase U.S. poultry on the spot.
Beyond the flavorful recipes, Chef Sonny provided helpful kitchen tips and engaged shoppers with information on U.S. poultry’s consistent quality, excellent yield, and high food safety standards. Booth staff reinforced these key messages while answering questions on sourcing and usage, creating interactive and informative experiences for customers.
The demo and sampling activity generated a noticeable increase in product movement at the store, with both U.S. chicken and turkey seeing strong sales during the event days compared to the previous weekend. Customer feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing surprise at the tenderness and flavor, and a newfound interest in incorporating U.S. poultry into their home cooking.
Building on this success, USAPEEC aims to bring similar demo-and-sampling activities to more supermarket chains across the country. These efforts not only introduce U.S. poultry to more Filipino households but also reinforce confidence in its quality and value.
