USAPEEC ASEAN

On June 19, USAPEEC hosted a culinary outreach seminar, cooking demonstration and competition in Bacoor, The Philippines with the Culinary and Foodservice Institute (CFI), a specialized college of the International School of Hotel and Restaurant Management (ISHRM) dedicated to the culinary arts.

The activity aimed to deepen students’ understanding of U.S. poultry its origin, range of products, and role in professional kitchens. Through a seminar, live demos, and a cooking competition, the program highlighted the versatility, safety, and high quality of U.S. poultry such as chicken, duck, turkey, and quail.

117 first to fourth year students received an in-depth presentation on the U.S. poultry industry, including classifications, sourcing and international quality standards before being led through a hands-on meat fabrication demonstration and portion breakdown.

Another cooking demonstration was held, showcasing the globally inspired recipes before eight student participants competed in a cooking challenge requiring them to develop original recipes using U.S. poultry.
