For people across the United States, the 4th of July marks Independence Day – a day of great national pride. It is also the perfect time to gather with friends and family for a summertime celebration full of activities – from parades to sports and eating contests, picnics, and backyard BBQs. Americans usually get into the holiday spirit by proudly wearing patriotic colors of the flag – red, white, and blue. But as always, it’s the food that takes center stage on Independence Day with classics like burgers, wings, hot dogs, and desserts marbled with red, white, and blue icing.

  1. Corn dogs

  3. Grilled Corn on the Cob
    Perhaps prepping for an elaborate All-American barbecue is too demanding for the occasion. But if you’re looking for a healthy alternative, Grilled Corn on the Cob is an excellent choice for a quick fix! It’s sweet and crunchy with a smoky char – what’s not to love? Plus, it only takes two steps to get it done. Preheat the grill for 10 minutes, cook the corn, turning it frequently until charred all over.
