USAPEEC organized a one-day seminar, funded by the United Soybean Board, addressing critical aspects of maintaining the cold chain and executing effective fry preparation techniques for volume chains in the foodservice industry. The seminar, held in February, was attended by 16 individuals, including the owner of Orange Brutus, a popular volume chain in Cebu. Mr. Rommel Gerodias, a Certified ServSafe instructor, delivered the presentation emphasizing the significance of upholding the cold chain and adhering to strict food safety guidelines. Chef Alvin Ong, a culinary expert and instructor, conducted a live demonstration showcasing proper fry preparation techniques, equipping participants with valuable knowledge and resources to uphold the highest standards of food quality and safety.
