USAPEEC ASEAN

Eleven final-year students from the Singapore Hotel and Tourism Education Centre (SHATEC) participated in a U.S. Poultry Cooking Competition featuring U.S. chicken, turkey and duck on August 8. The number of participants had to be scaled down due to the ongoing pandemic and social distancing measures. Still the young competitors brought their A game, showcasing their unique creations and cooking skills to the delight of the judges. Prior to the competition, they attended a U.S. poultry course as part of their culinary curriculum. The three winning U.S. poultry recipes will be featured as part of a 3-week long poultry promotion menu at the Sapling, a training restaurant run by SHATEC. The competition was a collaborative effort between SHATEC and USAPEEC, with funding from the United Soybean Board.
